Good For This (-기 좋아요)
a
-기(가) 좋다 means “good to do” or “nice for doing,” and -기 안 좋다 is the opposite. It’s commonly used to talk about weather, places, books, and clothes, describing whether something is pleasant or suitable for an activity.
In Real Life
기 doesn’t just build a gerund for 전에 and 로 to attach to, it turns the whole verb into an actual noun, which is why 가 (the subject marker from 은/는 vs 이/가) can attach right after it. 살기가 좋아요 literally parses as “[the act of] living is good.”
